Welcome to Bhubaneshwar, the Capital of Orissa. On arrival at the airport / railway station in Bhubaneswar, begin your ‘Pearl of the East’ tour. Proceed on a picturesque drive to Puri. En route, visit the famous Lingaraja Temple. Also, have a brief halt at Pipli village, famous for its local handicrafts and applique work. One can buy various handicrafts at Pipli village.
Day 1: Arrive Puri
On arrival at Puri, check into your hotel.
Later in the afternoon, visit the Jagannath Temple.
Overnight in Puri.
Day 2 : PURI * EXCURSION TO KONARK SUN TEMPLE (35 KMS / APPROX. 1 HOUR DRIVE)
This morning, proceed on a half-day excursion to Konark Sun Temple. Built by Narasimhadeva-I in 1250 A.D, shaped like a chariot driven by seven horses on 12 pairs of wheels. It is a UNESCO world heritage site.
In the afternoon, visit the artisan’s village of Raghurajpur. The village is famous for Patta Chitra work (paintings on Palm leaves). The artisans also make a wide variety of other items including palm leaf engravings, stone carvings, wood carvings, and wooden toys.
The rest of the evening is at leisure.

Day 3 : ONTO GOPALPUR VIA CHILIKA (242 KMS / APPROX. 7 HOUR DRIVE)
This morning, proceed towards Gopalpur, one of the most pristine beaches of Orissa. En route, visit the Chilika Bird Sanctuary famous for rare migratory birds. On arrival, check into your hotel.
The rest of the day is at leisure. A cruise in Chilka lake is recommended (on direct payment basis). This lake is home to over 160 varieties of fish and in the winter season it is home to thousands of migratory birds, dotted with a host of islands with romantic names.
Overnight in Gopalpur
Day 4 : GOPALPUR – EXCURSION TO TAPTAPANI (60 KMS / APPROX. 1.5 HOUR DRIVE)
In the morning, proceed on a half-day excursion to Taptapani hot water springs renowned for their medicinal value. Experience the culture and traditions of the Kutia Kondh, Mali and Dingaria Kondh tribal people that live in the region.
Return to Gopalpur in the afternoon.
The rest of the day is at leisure to explore the quaint town of Gopalpur. Overnight in Gopalpur
Day 5 : ONTO BHUBANESHWAR (180 KMS / APPROX. 5 HOUR DRIVE)
Today, proceed towards Bhubaneshwar, the capital city of Orissa. En route, visit the Udaygiri and Khandagiri Caves – partially natural and partially artificial are an excellent example of Jain Cave Art, built by Kharavela around 1st – 2nd Century BC for Jain monks. Udayagiri consist of major stupas and monasteries.
On arrival, check into your hotel.

Day 6 : DEPART BHUBANESHWAR * RETURN HOME WITH HAPPY MEMORIES
Today, bid farewell to your ‘Pearl of the East’ tour, as you are transferred to the airport / railway station in Bhubaneshwar for your onward journey.
Sights of The Himalayas 05 Days / 04 Nights
Gangtok is a cosmopolitan town which offers the tourist all possible amenities. For a view of Gangtok and all it’s surrounding, one can get to Ganesh Tok situated on a ridge at a distance of 7 kms from Gangtok. From this spot one can get a view of sprawling Gangtok town, while across the hills Mt. Khang-chen-Dzonga and Mt. Siniolchu loom over the horizon. The hill resort of Darjeeling is located to the south of Sikkim. It is famous for the distinctive black tea grown on plantations that dot its surrounding slopes.
Day 1 : ARRIVE BAGDOGRA / NEW JALPAIGURI * ON TO GANGTOK (135 KMS/ APPROX. 4 HOUR DRIVE)
Welcome to ‘Sights of the Himalayas’ tour! On arrival at the airport in Bagdogra/ railway station in New Jalpaiguri, you will be met and transferred to your hotel in Gangtok.

Day 2 : IN GANGTOK
Today, post breakfast, proceed for a full day sightseeing tour of Gangtok visiting places like the Namgyal Institute of Tibetology, Directorate of Handicraft and Handloom and Flower Exhibition Centre.
Namgyal Institute of Tibetology was established in 1958 and has been promoting the study of Tibet and its culture since then. The study includes the religion, history, language, art, culture which overlaps with the culture of Sikkim.
Directorate of Handicraft and Handloom was established as a Technical Institute for Training and Production of traditional arts and crafts with the intention to tap the employment and income generating potential of the handloom and handicrafts sector. It eventually evolved into a major centre of learning and training in the Traditional Arts and Crafts of the State, not to mention it becoming the single most important place in the Preservation and revival of the languishing ethnic Traditional Arts and crafts of the state.
Sikkim’s pride is the Flower Exhibition Centre in east Sikkim. The complex is an astounding collection of rare flowers that are displayed here. The flowers are rare for various seasons. Some of this flowers are rare because they bloom once in a year, some bloom once on five years, some species bloom only once in their lifetime.

Day 3 : ON TO DARJEELING (115 KMS / APPROX. 5-6 HOURS DRIVE)
After breakfast, proceed to Darjeeling popularly known as ‘Queen of the Hills’ and one of the most magnificent hill stations in the world.
On arrival, check- in to your hotel.

Day 4 : IN DARJEELING
Early morning, proceed to Tiger Hills (8364 Ft / 2550 Mts at around 4 AM) .Tiger Hill is synonymous with an amazing view of the sunrise. On the way back, visit Ghoom Monastery locally known as Yogachoeling Gompa and Batasia Loop- a gigantic loop through which the Toy Train makes a 360 degree turn.
After breakfast, proceed on a half-day sightseeing tour of Darjeeling visiting places like the Japanese Temple, Peace pagoda, Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Tenzing Rock, Gombu Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self Help Center (Closed on Sunday) and Tea Estate (panoramic view).
The rest of the day is at leisure for independent activities.
Overnight in Darjeeling.
Day 5 : DEPART DARJEELING (90KMS / 02 HOURS)
Today, bid farewell to your ‘Sights of the Himalayas’ tour, as you are transferred to the airport in Bagdogra / railway station in New Jalpaiguri for your onward journey.
